Microsoft Roadmap Leaked.. Office 15, Lync 15 and more...

A few days ago the Microsoft 2011-2014 roadmap was leaked. Maarten Visser, CEO of Meetroo, was one of the first partners to share this information.

“For who want to know: I got the roadmap from the Microsoft Partner Network, where it can be downloaded without logon,” Visser tweeted a week ago.

Obviously this is not related to anything technical, but will be a hot topic in the IT world over the next few months. Also floating around are rumors of Exchange15 and Lync15 will be coming available for beta downloads? But we will have to wait and see :)

you can see the leaked roadmap here.

Lync Voice Call Analyzer

While assisting with some issues on the Microsoft Technet Forums I stumbled across the Lync Voice Call Analyzer created by Desmond Lee, MVP.

So i decided to download it and give it a try.

Entered in all my information, dates and Search Target, which exports all call detail information into a .csv file.

Shows all information including transfers, PSTN, outbound, conferences, number of participants... Looks great. Would be a great piece of software for clients looking to see how much a user is on the phone and how long. Remember you will need user credentials or will use your domain joined credentials. Great work Desmond.

You can downloaded it from his website.

Enterprise Connect 2012 Lync and beyond

I came across an excellent keynote from the Enterprise Connect 2012 that was just a few weeks ago. The keynote was given by Kirk Koenigsbauer Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Office Division Product Management Group. This 45 minute presentation talks on Lync. How its doing, where its going, Lync and Skype (but mention no dates) Windows 8 and Lync and finally the whole Wave 15 family.

Some great information in this video!
